The worst part is all of the valuable time being missed by Castonzo, Ijalana, Nevis. Hopefully Castonzo and Nevis get back before too long. Ijalana will be like a rookie again. The experience gained by them this year would have been a slight glimmer of light in a pretty dark season. Who knows what to expect today. The Colts could win...or get their butts kicked by a team that still is in the AFC South race. We will find out soon enough and we will talk about it objectively tonight at 7. Can they win, will they win, will they give up the lead down the stretch? Seems to be a pattern here. Watch and hope that Painter continues to improve, see what Donald Brown can offer, wonder if the effort will continue to be there as  the season quietly slips  away. Play Rucker and Thomas, Lefeged and Caldwell. They don't have a choice anyway, with all the injuries. Play hard, hope for a win. What else is there right now? Don't really see it getting a whole lot better either. Who would have that that the Colts would still be looking for their first win going into week four?  Life without Manning-not very pretty. Beating the Browns on Sunday in their home opener won't define the season...but losing the game may very well be the "defining moment" for this Colts team. Lose and I believe that it could become a downward spiral. Win and then you get ready for a home primetime game against the Steelers. That game will define this team. It shouldn't come this soon, and I'm not sure that alot of us want to see the reality of it...but we will, one way or another. No reason to be pessimistic yet, let's see how things shake out. If the offense can give Collins time and if they can run the ball effectively, and if the defense can makes some stops and get off the field...they will be okay. One week until it counts, will we see Manning or Collins in Houston? Notre Dame fell flat on their face, Purdue squeaked it out, and the least that I expected from IU was that they would show up and play football...they didn't. Ball State did and once again beat their little brothers to the south. Congratulations to them. The Indycar series takes to the streets of Baltimore later today, should be an intriguing inaugural race.
