After a few weeks off from this ( had to babysit JMV & those PAI spots) I am back with another tip sheet to ensure you have an enjoyable weekend, or at least get drunk and eat good in the process.
Tip #1- It's fall, so grab your PSL & a blanket and head out to watch some high school football action. Prepare to feel old, as students will wear lettermans jackets with the year 2021 on them as their graduation class. For $6 a person, a high school game is a great time for a family, and you might see a good football game!
Tip #2- This Saturday I will be heading to Purdue. The men's hoops team will take on Indiana State in an exhibition contest benefitting Hurrican Relief funds. Tip time is set for 3pm. That will followed by the Boilermaker football team taking on Nebraska. Between games, I will be checking out Harry's, so if I am drunk, please return to my owners.
Tipe #3- You like Pizza? I like pizza, and I like bourbon, so you need to check out Goodfellas on Mass Ave or in Broad Ripple. They have an incredible lunch special, and a back bar at the Mass Ave location with all kinds of bourbons, including my favorite, Evan Williams! The pizza is delicious, and great for my drunk ass at 3 am in Broad Ripple, they stay open late.
Tip #4- The Pacers are off to an up and down start with a young team, but it's been a blast watching them so far this season, even in the home loss to the Blazers last Friday. This Sunday, the Blue & Gold take on the Spurs for a Sunday matinee. Tickets are pretty cheat and a 4:30 tip time gets you home in time for Sunday night football, make it a day and come downtown prior to watch the Colts game, or drown your sorrows away when Cincy crushes them. The Pacers are young and energetic and worth your time!
Tip #5- I actually need the tips! I need you to give me tips as I embark on a road trip next week to Seattle. Our stops in Omaha( if we don't fall asleep driving there and wake up in a corn field with no gas) Denver, where we are checking out the Nuggets & not getting high because drugs are bad for you and my dad will be with me, Boise & Portland before finishing the journey in Seattle. Any tips you can share, please do.
