Could the Pacers be quicker learners than we all thought?

Ahhhh…let’s not fall into that trap! It is still too early to tell...However, it was refreshing to see the Pacers earn a lead and maintain it as they topped the McGrady-less Houston Rockets Wednesday night.

Again, I have to point out the emotion from this team after climbing what seemed to be a daunting hurdle over the course of their last three games. Mentally, this was a big victory….the hope is that they can carry that over to Friday night and try to put together a string of these victories. Despite criticism…I still think it is too early to be worried about this team. Sure the standings don’t look good at the moment….but aren’t there 58 games left?

We should all be relieved that the Pacers have not been blown away by a team this season…they have competed…and have been in virtually every game. Unfortunately, staying close hasn’t always meant finishing on top…but after a narrow victory over ‘Ron Ron’ and the Rockets….perhaps a new trend could be brewing.

Oh boy…

Okay, did you think the start of the season was a rough stretch for the Blue and Gold? Well, it won’t be getting any easier after a date with Charlotte. Following the home game with the Bobcats the Pacers will face seven straight playoff teams:

11/29- at Orlando

12/2- LA Lakers

12/3- at Boston

12-5- at Cleveland

12-7- Boston

12-10- at Toronto

12-12- at Detroit

Let me take this moment to rephrase my opening sentence:

“The Pacers HAD BETTER be quicker learners than we all thought!”
