Marian Unversity Hoops Makes History

For the first time in school history both the men's and women's basketball teams are heading for the NAIA Tournament.

Thursday will be a day to remember for Marian University's basketball programs. For the first time in school history, both men's and women's basketball teams will be playing in the NAIA tournament. 

The women's team continues their defense of last year's national championship title, and are on a tear finishing the regular season 31-2 with a second consecutive Crossroads League tournament ring. 

Scott Heady's squad waited on pins and needles last night to see if their name would be called to join the field for the men's tournament. It was, and the Knights will play Union on Thursday, March 8 at 10:15. 

Coach Katie Gearlds crew will be in action on Thursday as well taking on Sain Thomas at 6:15.
