Tom Allen announced at his Monday press conference that Peyton Ramsey will be starting at quarterback for the Hoosiers when they take on Charleston Southern. The move comes after a 2-2 start to 2017 for Indiana.

"Peyton Ramsey is going to be named the starter, as of today. Met with both young men last night, and as you look back at the first four games and where we're at and our ability to move the football and score points and build a team around whoever I feel gives us the best opportunity to have success on game day. And I feel like and our staff feels like that Peyton Ramsey is the person for that responsibility," said Allen.

Ramsey, the redshirt freshmen, entered last week's game at Penn State in the second quarter and played the rest of the game finishing 8-for-17 for 78 yards with one touchdown and one interception to begin the second half.

IU and Charleston Southern kickoff at 3:30 at Memorial Stadium on Saturday.
