Former Colts Wide Receiver Anthony Gonzalez Elected To Congress

If someone asked you back in 2009, "Which Colts player will win a race for political office in 10 years?" most likely your answer would have been Peyton Manning - maybe Gary Brackett.
Both of those would have been wrong. Anthony Gonzalez won his race for Congress last night in Ohio.
Gonzalez is from Cleveland, and attended THE Ohio State University to play football in college. He was drafted by the Colts in the first round of the 2007 NFL Draft, the year after they brought home the Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl XLI.
He played five seasons in Indy, catching 99 passes for 1,307 yards and seven touchdowns. Injuries caught up to him late in his career, and he only appeared in 11 games over his last three seasons.
