Pacers fans may have mixed feelings about West.
While he was in Indiana, he was the veteran-locker-room-dog that steered the ship when things weren't going well for teams that reached back-to-back Eastern Conference Finals.
That's the good.
The last taste Pacers fans may have in their mouth from him was how he exited Indiana a year after Paul George broke his leg to go "ring chase" in San Antonio followed by Golden State.
He got his rings with the Warriors, and I think he should be remembered fondly for his time in Indiana. They were some of the most successful in franchise history, and lord knows what that locker room would have been like being led by Paul George, Roy Hibbert, and no David West.
West played four seasons for the Pacers from 2011-2015 averaging 14 points and 7 rebounds.
