The inevitable has finally happened. Jersey patches are coming to the Indiana Pacers uniforms starting tonight vs. Cleveland after the team announced they've reached a deal with Motorola.
The Indiana Pacers and Motorola today announced a multi-year partnership in which the Midwest-based mobile communications company will become the team's first-ever jersey patch partner. The Pacers will debut the jerseys with the Motorola patch on the court tonight at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
"All of us at Motorola are thrilled to see our iconic brand join forces with an iconic team, the Indiana Pacers," said Rudi Kalil, vice president and general manager, North America at Motorola. "Now as the Pacers first-ever jersey patch partner, Motorola joins an organization whose combination of teamwork, passion and drive to continuously improve, has led them to tremendous success. This same championship formula is one we put into play at Motorola every day to win with our products, customers and employees, and is what makes this partnership so exciting."
28 of 30 NBA teams have patches on their jerseys, and now the Pacers will be the 29th.

We definitely didn't see this one coming, but the patch doesn't look bad. Feels like it fits right in, especially with the color scheme.
A couple months ago, we did some "mockups" to what the Pacers jerseys would look like with some potential sponsors we thought made sense.
Overall, the Motorola patch is solid, but man...that IMS logo is tough.
