Jeff Brohm is staying put in West Lafayette. At least for another season.
Brohm announced on Wednesday night that he would not be returning to his alma mater Louisville to be the head football coach after a torturous 72 hours for Boilermaker fans. The dreaded wait turned to joy around 6:30 last night.
More from @JeffBrohm "After intense and thorough discussion, I believe it is important to finish the building process we have begun and honor the commitment I made to our football program, players and recruits. While going home was very appealing to me, the timing was not ideal"

In a battle of heart vs. head, head prevailed. Louisville and Brohm can always have the illusion of the "prodigal son returning" to save the program, but for now, the Boilers make the most sense for Jeff Brohm.
