The legacy of Tyler Trent will live on forever outside of Ross-Ade Stadium.

Purdue President Mitch Daniels announced on Wednesday that Gate E, or the student gate, will be renamed to the Tyler Trent Student Gate and will feature a plaque that will explain the meaning of Tyler Trent to Purdue for future generations.

President Daniels also announced the winner of the first Tyler Trent Courage and Resilience Award.

Purdue football tweeted "Forever our captian."

A fitting tribute for a true Boilermaker legend.
