It was a week full of good news for Purdue. Jeff Brohm announced on Wednesday he would be returning as the head coach after much speculation he would head back home to Louisville.

Then on Sunday, the Boilers found out their bowl destination and opponent. They'll be heading to Nashville for the Music City Bowl against the Auburn Tigers.

This is certainly a step up from last year's Foster Farms Bowl, and the opponent is a step up as well. Auburn has been in and out of the Top 25 throughout the season, and they've beaten the likes of Texas A&M and Washington. They also only lost to LSU by one in Death Valley.

Jeff Brohm knows the challenge ahead.

The Boilers will battle Auburn on Friday, December 28th at 1:30 p.m.
