Purdue jumped a spot to 16th in the top-25 after blowing out Butler 82-75 on Saturday in the Crossroads Classic at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
"(My) sophomore year, we ended up losing to Butler, letting one slip," Vincent Edwards said. "We didn't execute down the stretch like we did today. Last year we won and had a good comeback. This year we were able to stay out and stay ahead and finish the game."
Matt Painter's crew has won seven straight after losing back-to-back games in the Bahamas over the Thanksgiving holiday. The Boilermakers have defeated Arizona, Louisville, and most recently Butler during the winning streak.
After this weekend, Purdue remains the only Indiana school to be ranked in the top-25 in the country.
Up next, they tipoff a four-game homestand starting with Tennessee State on Thursday night at Mackey Arena.
