Purdue's Season Opener Date Has Changed

The Boilermakers will start the season on the road against Nevada.

Purdue football announced on Tuesday the date for it's season opener has changed from Saturday, August 31 to Friday, August 30 at Nevada.

I have a feeling this could be an ESPN broadcast to start the season.

Jeff Brohm staying at Purdue, Rondale Moore's historic freshman season, and a top-25 recruiting class provide plenty of storylines, star power, and interest for a random national broadcast to fill the space with football on that Friday night.

The Boilers started 2018 on national TV against Northwestern on a Thursday night.

Kickoff time and the official broadcast info will be released at a later date.
